Xinghua Road bridge construction across the Tusi River will use super tough concrete technology. Super tough concrete has the characteristics of high compressive strength, high flexural strength, strong expansion and ultra-high toughness, especially its linear expansion coefficient is close to the linear expansion coefficient of steel plates, which can be well combined with the surface of steel girders to reduce rigid impact and prolong the use of the bridge. The tensile strength of super tough concrete is 10 times that of traditional concrete, and its fracture toughness is 200 times that of traditional concrete. After the steel box girder and super high toughness concrete are combined into a whole, the local stiffness of the bridge deck is increased by 40 times, and the risk of fatigue cracking of the steel deck is greatly reduced.


The bridge will also use carbon fiber composite materials (CFRP) cable, this new material is used more in foreign countries, currently no relevant domestic applications, such as the use of successful, Xinghua Road bridge across the Tushi River will become the first domestic bridge using carbon fiber cable.
